The Money...

Cotton is a $400 billon per year world wide industry where only about 1% of it is organic.


That Old Pair of Jeans...

To produce 1 standard pair of blue jeans roughly ¾ of a pound of pesticides are used on the cotton crop.


Pesticides Around the World...

Nearly 25% of all of the world’s pesticides are used to grow conventional cotton; little to none is used for orgainc.


Cotton As a Food for Cows...

Nearly 38% of cotton produced goes to make lint for clothes which means 62% is used for animal feed. All the pesticides used to grow organic cotton are then fed to the animals, especially dairy cows.


Timeline to Organics...

It can take up to 5 years for a conventional cotton farm to transition to a certified organic cotton farm.


Traveling Distance...

A shirt from eastern China travels over 14 times farther and a shirt from India travels over 18 times farther than a Naked Cotton shirt from the time that it is made to the time it reaches a store in America. That means on average you can transport 15 Naked Cotton shirts compared to 1 conventional shirt using the same amount of energy.
